The food which we consume is both acidic and alkaline in nature. Acids are also secreted by our body to assist the process of digestion. But once our body becomes older, these natural secretions do not work properly. Hence we will have to be very choosy in selecting the food which would make us look younger though we are old. Also the more acidic your body turns; you may feel very weak and depressed with body pains and loss of energy. Therefore for the very purpose of neutralizing the effect of acids we consume more amount alkalis.

Alkalies are only capable of reacting with the acids and neutralizing them thereby they are one of the natural means of fighting against aging. We will have to consume the food which is rich in alkalis. As we are aware, vegetables and fruits are the natural ways of obtaining alkalies in the body. Especially when you consume citrus fruits, they are rich in vitamins this in turn act as anti-aging substance. Also sprouted grains, seeds and nuts are best source for obtaining alkalies and hence for today’s fast food world, where every thing is instant more people have started going back to olden days of having either raw seeds, nuts or sprouted seeds and grains as both are best for keeping the body rich in alkali thereby staying young. Cabbage is one of the best vegetable which can fight against cancer causing acids and agents by secreting alkali. Also apart from above mentioned substances, yoghurt secretes alkali thereby being the best way to prevent aging and aid anti-aging.
