In times gone by many things were worked out instinctively which was fine but it’s satisfying to see those things be proven by scientific observation & corroboration. These days we have systematic evidence that the following will add numerous additional healthy & active years to your life. 1/- Friendship That’s correct, ordinary simple close friends. Having close, loving, caring companions in your family and/or outside your family helps relieve stress & strain & makes your life feel more valuable. I mean the kind of people you can share intimate things with; both your highs & your lows. 2/- A Sound Night’s Sleep A regular good night’s sleep does wonders for you. When you have a good full night’s sleep, both your body & your mind can process the day’s activities & get you prepared for the following day. 3/- Exercise Exercise is great because it gets your heart pumping & your blood circulating. This means that nutriments & oxygen are sent to your cells & waste products are removed. Both are necessary for good health. 4/- Avoid Cigarettes & Drugs Tobaco & drugs do nothing to help your body or your mind in the long term. They tax your body & make it work more than it otherwise should. 5/- Alcohol in Moderation Alcohol in excess has a really harmful effect on the body over time however , a nice quality table wine or lager in measure can essentially have a positive & healthy effect on the body but make sure you keep it in balance. If you can not keep it in balance then it’s wise to avoid it altogether. 6/- Have a Good Laugh Laughter, fun, smiling & contentment have a terrific effect on your long-term health. It relieves mental & physical stress & inspires you to make good positive decisions in all that you do. 7/- Be Inventive with Veggies Most folks don’t eat enough veggies & not just vegetables but raw veggies. They are a splendid source of nutrition & enzymes & are High Energy Foods. There are lots of books around nowadays that show how to make good tasting meals using raw veggies. 8/- Green Tea Regular drinking of green tea has been proved to reduce the risk of coronary disease. It’s also popular among the people of Okinawa who experience great longevity. 9/- Sexual Satisfaction Sexual satisfaction 2 or 3 times per week with the person whom you love dissipates heaps of stress & strain & makes you feel cared for. Tests have well proved it will add several years to your life. 10/- Eat Healthy Fats Healthy fats or essential fatty acids are vital for optimum health. They are found in nuts, fish, olive oil, flax seed oil & cod liver oil. Make sure you add these to your diet. Incorporate as many of these things in your daily life & you’ll live a longer, fitter, more active & happier life. You can add up to 15 years to your life.
